The Proteus Effect is a lighthearted roleplaying adventure game where you take on the role of a down-on-his-luck guy who lands the job of his dreams as a playtester at a virtual-reality game company. Once extracted when i go to run game it displays message “unable to create temporary directory”
I cannot find the black straw for the 5 bear pelt quest. I think it is in a market, but when I try to talk to the clerk I am told only employees are allowed behind the counter.;

It would be a good game except for the frustrating mini-games you have to play to proceed. They border on the impossible,require a great deal of timing and you get reverted to the beginning of the mini-game at each failure forcing you to replay the mini-games from the beginning.
