This thing has apparently been in development for over four years and has grown and mutated into a bloated horror soap opera.
Incredibly complex labyrinthine plot that you need a spreadsheet to keep track of.
A never-ending parade of annoying characters who just get more annoying and two-dimensional with every appearance. This, I suppose, is what passes for comedy and wit in these kinds of games.
MC is basically unlikeable and manipulative, but because everyone else is worse, he’s the favorite of the Demon Plot Device.
Demon Plot Device is one of those “You already know what’s going on so I am just going to torture you by dropping hints and telling you how stupid you are for not knowing what I haven’t told you.” I’m sure there’s a Japanese name for that kind of character because I keep coming across them in these kinds of VNs, and it’s really annoying.
Not enough fucking to justify the fucking that MC gets. Pacing is glacial, but I guess the business model is such that they have to keep stringing us along for years.
I’m sure there’s a lot of folks who like this kind of thing and think it’s brilliant. For my part, I am glad I didn’t pay for it.
